Itried to download the file:
ftp://alpha.gnu.org/pub/pub/gnu/wget/wget-1.11-alpha-1.tar.gz
but i always get some timeout error.
Since i cannot check the cause of the
problem
(probably it has to do with our firewall
settings
which i cannot deal with), does anybody
know

I don't know if there is another download site, but did
you try the download with a dedicated FTP client?
E.g. http://www.download.com/SmartFTP-Client/3000-2160_4-10561348.html

What I want is to download a website completely, which I'm currently doing like this:wget -r -l 0 -p -k -E http://example.comBut I also want to download the page requisites (but no html) that is outside
