I don't think there is consensus that loading webfonts for interlanguage links
is always useless.
I see few options:
1) do nothing
2) exclude those elements from webfonts (there is similar system as for

If it was implemented in a way that webfonts can be disabled for all languages
at the same time this would be an appropriate solution I assume.

The linked bugs are about optimizing performance of loading of webfonts.
