[Bug 19948] Special:UnusedProperties produces database error for PostgreSQL
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19948 Markus Krötzsch mar...@semantic-mediawiki.org changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|blocker |major Status|NEW |ASSIGNED --- Comment #6 from Markus Krötzsch mar...@semantic-mediawiki.org 2009-08-01 16:57:45 UTC --- Did you actually initialize the database after installing SMW? You should find a number of tables starting with smw... in your database, and basic operations such as adding simple annotations should work without errors. If this is the problem, please follow the SMW installation instructions (using either Special:SMWAdmin or SMW_setup.php). Also please make sure that the installation works normally without SMW enabled before switching on the extension. If all of those basic checks are okay, then we can continue debugging. Do you already have any idea why the given query could be illegal in Postgres? P.S.: Note that Postgres support in SMW is still somewhat experimental due to the smaller size of our Postgres user base. If you find Postgres support to be too shaky for your application then switching to MySQL might be the best option for now. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 19141] URI generation in RDF export partly lacks port information
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19141 Markus Krötzsch mar...@semantic-mediawiki.org changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution||INVALID --- Comment #2 from Markus Krötzsch mar...@semantic-mediawiki.org 2009-08-01 18:09:33 UTC --- Thinking about this problem again, I note that it is not a bug but expected behavior that can easily be customized: The main purpose of URIs is to provide unique identifiers for wiki pages. This is why they should not depend on the way in which the wiki is called. However, the port number can only be determined automatically based on the current request. So if the wiki was reachable via multiple ports, then the URIs would be different depending on how the wiki is accessed. In order to solve this problem, SMW does not automatically generate the base URI but rather lets the user set it explicitly: it is the single parameter given to enableSemantics() in LocalSettings.php. In order to get port numbers in URIs, it is enough to add the port number to this parameter. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

Some points that I see on this page (relating to missing month label) have been fixed recently. Also, the dates are not normally displayed in ISO format by SMW. But the main reason why this is not fixed yet is that the display on Special:Ask does not currently happen by parsing wiki text but by generating HTML. This needs to be changed in order to preserve wiki formatting like table headers/footers. Currently, the type of the imported elements is not actually checked any more, which is not really a good solution either. Based on the observation that there are usually only few imported vocabulary terms in any wiki, I would like to have a redesigned import mechanism that allows for vocabulary extensions that provide their own predefined page names to which they are mapped as soon as the extension is enabled. [Bug 20034] New: Reconfiguration of flagged revs on en.Wikibooks
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20034 Summary: Reconfiguration of flagged revs on en.Wikibooks Product: Wikimedia Version: unspecified Platform: All URL: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Wikibooks:Reading_room/Gene ral#.24wgFlaggedRevsAutoReviewNew.3Dfalse OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: Normal Component: Site requests AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: mart0...@hotmail.com In English Wikibooks, set $wgFlaggedRevsAutoReviewNew=false. The current configuration as is created an undesirable result for the Foundation of Education and Instructional Assessment book (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Foundations_of_Education_and_Instructional_Assessment) because a user with Editor privileges created a stub, followed by inexperienced editors adding content to the page (as part of a class project). This created a massive backlog in Special:OldReviewedPages, and also make it more difficult for the new authors to review their own work (since the stable stub was shown instead.) Making this config change will: * Prevent new pages from being auto-sighted; they need to be sited manually by clicking on the checkbox (or by reviewing the page after it is saved.) A more permanent measure (either by adjusting the default setting of the variable or relegating it to preferences) may be more suitable. The initial discussion about FlaggedRevs is here: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Wikibooks:Reading_room/Archives/2009/July#FlaggedRevs_Should_Be_Removed_or_Changed A current conencensus is here: http://en.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?title=Wikibooks:Reading_room/Generaloldid=1597536#.24wgFlaggedRevsAutoReviewNew.3Dfalse -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug.
