Jakub Kotrla's set of patches (available at http://jakub.kotrla.net/putty/) make PuTTY read session configurations from disk rather than the Windows Registry. Because of this, and because the purpose of the machine is to provide a lightweight, disposable development environment, the VM itself can be configured quite insecurely. Vagrant installations use a common, generic private/public key pair for SSH access. (Remember that the Vagrant VM is networked via a private, virtual ethernet interface that links it exclusively to the host, which is why this is OK.) Because that's the case, the integrity of PuTTY isn't much of a concern. We just have to make it clear that the bundled PuTTY is insecure by design and inappropriate for any uses other than Vagrant. I mistakenly thought this was a new incident, when in fact this is the earlier discussion we had months ago. And you are correct that we dropped the ball in terms of contacting other wikis, though we did start this process -- but did not have the resources to carry it out. Our initial hope was to get Article Feedback v5 ready first, so that we could release it at about the same time as we discontinued old versions of the tool. But due to a variety of factors, that plan didn't pan out. I am not sure yet what our next steps will be about this feature, and we need to resume our initial outreach to all these wikis, to see what they want to do. But that is unlikely to happen for several weeks, until we're caught up with higher priority projects like Notifications and the Visual Editor. I installed in my Wiki the TinyMCE extension. The webhoster bplaced.net
switched from the php Version 5.4 to 5.5. After that change the TinyMCE
extension can't handle the headings from the Wikilanguage anymore, if there is
some other stuff in the same line. The following code shall handle it (for
example):

The attributs are valide, but the isn't change to a h4-HTML-Tag, if
the -tag don't stand alone in a line. For example:

A member of my Wikiadministrator stuff developed a workaround for this problem.
You must comment the code form TinyMCE_MW.php and add some code in the

It's strange that I can't find a bug for this. Lots of user on en.wiki
complained loudly about this [1], but nobody succeded to write a bug report for
it? Well, here it is:
Please provide an option in user preferences to turn VE off. Some users just
don't like it and don't want to have an extra tab which they don't use anyway.
The gadget isn't perfect, as the tab might appear for short time before it is
removed again, and has to updated when VE integration changes. The only reason
I found for why there is no such option is this:
It was planned, but the code turned out to be seriously buggy at the last
minute. Getting it really, truly off (rather than just covered up) is more

Now with the minimized amount of code that is loaded at startup, it is
acceptable to load the code, but just not to execute it. Adding
if ( !mw.user.options.get( 'visualeditor-enable' ) ) {

near to the end of modules/ve-mw/init/targets/ve.init.mw.ViewPageTarget.init.js
should be all that's really needed.

In zimlib (file.h), getArticle(size_type idx) is used to obtain the article
having ID ad idx.
However, when idx provided is not found in any article in the ZIM file, the
function returns an article with the index as idx itself.
Similar functions, like getArticle(char ns, const std::string url) does not
have this bug. If the required article is not found, they return an article
with index 4294967295.(maximum value of unsigned int).(in other words, the
default article, zim::Article(). )
I think getArticle(size_type idx) should also return zim::Article() instead of
a modified version.
Error reproduction code:
zim::File file (filename.zim);
std::cout\nfile.getArticle(500).getIndex(); //Make sure the file has
less than 500 articles.
std::cout\nfile.getArticle('X',an_Article_which_doesn't_exist);
