            Bug ID: 53924
Summary: Inputting dates with written out months only works if
                    you're inputting them in English
           Product: Wikimedia
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: Wikidata
          Assignee: wikidata-b...@lists.wikimedia.org
          Reporter: svenmangu...@gmail.com
    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

If I want to put a date in (say a release date), I can do it numerically, or I
can do it with text like "November 2, 2001", which is how it's expressed in
English Wikipedia infoboxes. I cannot, however, imput dates on Wikidata by
putting in "14 de febrero de 2002", which is how it's expressed in the Spanish
Wikipedia infoboxes. Now, I'm not a Spanish speaker, I'm an English speaker, so
this doesn't effect me, but the lack of support for other languages has to be
impacting quite a few people. I tested a few languages "1999년 9월 30일" (Korean),
"28. Oktober 1999" (German), "16 novembre 1999" (French), etc., and if there's
any language other than English that's supported, I haven't found it.

It'd be really nice if we could support other languages' date formats.
