Due to the large amount of vandalism from zombie proxies and other compromised
machines, it would be helpful to automatically block said machines anon-only
with account creation blocked to prevent the creation of vandalism-only
accounts and sock puppets.
To prevent this, the DroneBL blacklist (see http://dronebl.org) can be used to
automatically prevent edits from known open proxies.
Obviously, this won't stop all open proxy-based vandalism, but it will greatly
cut down on the quantity of the abuse, and it will increase the time it takes
for the vandals to find unblocked open proxies.
