            Bug ID: 60280
Summary: VisualEditor: Reference numbers do not display
                    properly on fr.wp
           Product: VisualEditor
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: General
          Assignee: jforres...@wikimedia.org
          Reporter: elitr...@gmail.com
                CC: jforres...@wikimedia.org, jh...@wikimedia.org,
                    krinklem...@gmail.com, ryasm...@wikimedia.org
    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

NemesisIII reports that when VEditing a page, existing reference numbers do not
appear as "superscripted" as they should.
See section "projet" of
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bug_%C3%A9diteur_visuel_affichage_appels_de_r%C3%A9f%C3%A9rence.png
(from https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avenue_Foch?veaction=edit ).
Number 3 and 4 are existing references, and they are very low. Number 5 instead
is a newly added reference, which displays ok (note that this reference does
not really exist in the article, it was added just to take the screenshot).

According to my tests, only fr.wp seems affected. I was able to reproduce this
with
*Firefox (both Vector and Monobook)
*Chrome (Monobook)
*Opera (while logged out).
