            Bug ID: 60958
Summary: Let anons see what was patrolled
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: 1.23-git
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: Patrolling
          Assignee: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
          Reporter: nathanlarson3...@gmail.com
                CC: krinklem...@gmail.com, roan.katt...@gmail.com
    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

Presently, DefaultSettings.php says #$wgGroupPermissions['*']['patrolmarks'] =
false; // let anons see what was patrolled

(git blame attributes this to Tim Starling)

I propose uncommenting it and changing the false to true so that by default,
anons will be able to see what was patrolled. That will be good for
transparency. It's unclear what purpose it serves to not let anons be able to
get this information by API. Presently, per InitialiseSettings.php, ruwiki and
eswiki have patrolmarks set to true for anons.
