There is also a request in that discussion about whether Transclusion could
be renamed to something in plain English, like Templates.
The problem is that they aren't just templates - there are also magic words and
parser functions as well, like Wikidata invocations or other oddities that
MediaWiki supports. Lumping them all in as templates makes things much harder
to explain in documentation.
