Tested it on chrome and it happens the same. What also happens is that if you write ES in the language field, and your cursor is at EL, and then you want to go down with the arrow tab on keyboard, the counting starts from EL, and not ES which is highlighted.TASK DET

I believe that effect comes from the fact that items in suggester list are links. Somehow on chrome hook on these links is ommited and normal page reload happens. Despite chrome I think that if lexeme user interface is supposed to be consistent with other suggesters in wikida
