Can someone explain to me how this happened? I'm not seeing any code that tried to pass a string to the constructor of MediaWikiPageNameNormalizer. The line number in the error message also doesn't quite match... I'm confused.TASK

Maybe we could just make a maintenance script what upon detecting that page.page_content_model != revision.rev_content_model for latest revision (accounting for current defaults) would just set it to the right one in the revision table?

This is a general problem with setting up Wikibase: when you change the content model associated with the main namespace to Item, but the Main_Page is already there, it breaks.
We could make Wikibase more robust

@Lydia_Pintscher changing the form to not have a data type selected per default also make sense to me. As it is now, all you have to do is hit enter at the wrong time, and you have created a property with the wrong type.TASK

We will not allow changing datatypes of existing properties beyond the existing maintenance script. It just causes way too much hassle. On Wikidata it is also restricted to a small group of people who know what

On wikidata, new users cannot create properties at all. This is reserved for admins. We should consider making it this way per default, for any new installation. Or at least strongly suggest it in the documentation.
