My opinion on it:
When only one repository is used for all entities then we shouldn't bother the user with the name of that repository
when there is a mix of local and foreign entities being used then we must make this visible to the user

Provided patch is a plausible solution to preventing this one dump from causing cascading errors in other dumps. It's a rather incomplete solution though, as the memory limit is per process and this dump spawns 30 php processes. I think cgroups might be a more

Almost certain now there is a memory leak in at least the wikidata dumpRdf. There might be a general mediawiki maintenance script leak, not sure.

bzip2 should be fine
Including property definitions will most likely be very handy, though I am not sure what that means exactly- it just includes all statements for properties? Than yes!
