I cannot be as certain for the other ymd languages, without a closer look at the linguistic data. This still appears to be an issue and I think the issue lies in VisualEditor. The toc appears in the response from the save API inside visualeditoredit.content It's possible that either VisualEditor's API is making an assumption about the table of contents being there and adding it itself The VisualEditor response is not honoring the onOutputPageParserOutput hook which can make modifications to the ParserOutput. daniel added a comment. As to solving this issue: PropertyContent::isValid should at least check that the datatype is not empty. PropertyHandler::createEmptyEntity should probably fail. But we should really make sure that properties can only be created with valid property types. EditEntity calls setDataTypeId in two places. But only wbeditentity checks if the user provided a datatype=… parameter with an actually supported data type. The other 4 modules allow to create properties with an empty datatype. Special:ListProperties can not be used to find such broken properties. TASK DESCRIPTIONIf possible it would be nice having access to the function checking if a Wikidata entity matches an arbitrary type constraint. This would be very useful to achieve one of the long term objectives of the WikiProject Templates in eswiki. The basic idea is merging all the infoboxes to a single one that can know the type of the entity and display the Wikidata properties of that entity that the community thinks that are relevant for that type of entity. For now the only ways I know to do something like this with Lua is maintaining a page with the mappings of what values of the "instance of" property go to each of them (which has a huge maintenance burden) or loading all the entities in the tree until we find the one we are looking for (which is probably better to avoid).
