FormWizard is now operational in the Wikidata: namespace-- @Capt_Swing was able to solve the problem. See changes here to the _javascript_ gadget file. The problem was that across Wikimedia projects, the project namespace is always defined as "Project:" for gadget definition files. On Wikidata, the project namespace is titled "Wikidata:" (just as on Meta, it's "Meta:"), so each project namespace generally adopts a name that's the same as the Wikimedia project name. The wikiPEDIA REST html pages (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/api/rest_v1/page/html/Albert_Einstein) are formatted in a neat, HTML-friendly fashion. However, the results returned for a wikidata item (like http://www.wikidata.org/api/rest_v1/page/html/Q42) just seem to be a plaintext JSON dump, a format which is adequately provided by links like e.g. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:EntityData/Q42.json. Smalyshev added a comment. So, if you want to put a dataset into the database, here's the questions to answer: What kind of queries we are planning to run? Which use cases they would support? I am not sure I am clear on use case for "constraint violations for actors that live in Germany and are born before 1945" - what use case would produce such query? Do we need to have the data in WDQS at all? We have MWAPI gateway, maybe we could just query the suitable API? Is this data set separate from Wikidata data or needs to be in the same namespace (depends on cross-querying needs)? What is the data model (would be nice to have a wiki page describing it)? How the data are updated - when update happens, what triggers it, which data are updated, how soon we need the updates, etc. Note that there is no external push write interface to the database, by design, and having it would involve significant security hurdles to clear - to ensure that only authorized clients can modify the data, and only the part of the data they are authorized to. As Blazegraph does not have support for users/roles and other access controls, we may have to find some solution to it. How these data would be imported/reimported if node is reimaged? Right now WDQS is designed as a secondary data storage - i.e. it does not store any data which does not have primary source, and can be cleaned up and restored from external sources. Well… basically all (wikidataclient) sites and site_identifiers tables need to re-generated once a new wiki gets added (also if we ever remove one). That's because all of them might handle data that refers to any of the other wikis. Due to T158751: Make populateSitesTable.php more robust I'm not sure I like for this to happen automatically right now… we (well, I, really) once broke most of enwiki page rendering with the script. IMO currently the best practice is: Populate the tables on the new wiki (nothing much can break there if it goes wrong), and later on re-populate the table fleet wide so that the new wikis can be linked from Wikidata. Could be "the shortest form of the word" language of the lexeme field: include info about the user should do and where the list is taken. Could be "will be taken among the Wikidata items. You can start typing then select a value" lexical category field: include info about the user should do and where the list is taken. Could be "Example: noun, verb, adjective... This will be taken among the Wikidata items. You can start typing then select a value" language of the lemma: this field appears upper than the field that the user just filled (language of the lexeme) which is somehow confusing, since the usual order to fill a form is top to down Edition page When editing the lemma and its language, the language field should propose a selector, and maybe the similar info as stated above When adding a new Form, the representation field should display info about what the user is supposed to enter here. Lucas_Werkmeister_WMDE added a comment. The data model for a constraint violation would be a single triple pointing from the violating statement to the constraint it violates. A few notes on load / scale: last week (2018-04-12 – 2018-04-19), there were some 121.3K requests to the wbcheckconstraints API, according to Grafana. Assuming the vast majority of them was for a single entity, that comes out to approximately 17K writes per day, or one every five seconds. We don’t have data on how many violations there are per constraint check, but I would estimate the average to be somewhere between 10 and 100. At the moment, we can’t make any promises on the completeness of this data anyways, so it might be okay if we don’t have the data after a reimport. Alternatively – might it be possible to get the data from another query service node? Gehel added a comment. A few notes (without much thinking, so don't read too much into them): WDQS nodes are operated in a "share nothing" mode. Which means that each node is responsible to pull it's data from different places (wikidata, categories dumps, ...). This total independence between the nodes is a very nice property in term of reliablity, easy management, etc... but it also means that there is no single write interface to any of our WDQS clusters. As part of reimaging a WDQS node, we do a full data reimport, starting with a dump of wikidata, and replaying updates from the date of the dump (either from recent changes or from kafka). Any additional data source needs to have a way to be replayed as well. Jarekt added a comment. I just opened 10 random pages with P373 and they all did not have links. The same issue with: Commons Creator page (P1472), Commons gallery (P935), Commons Institution page (P1612), etc. It is a major issue for those maintaining those properties. I do not know why a _javascript_ would be tasked with providing interwiki links. Maybe the issue is that those properties should not use "catch-all" string type and use data-type designed for interwiki links. Tarrow added a comment. I think the hardcoded 'not-a-secret's would simply be ENV variables passed from the docker-compose.yml down to each container at runtime. It would then be up to the user to enter a random string here instead so that it is secure. In any case: Probably the best plan is therefore to not try and do this but instead just write documentation for a human to follow.
