  Well, not exactly since "1" unit means "no unit" in Wikidata right now. So 
I'm not sure this is right. Maybe it is... I wasn't a big fan of using 
"percentage" as a unit but maybe normalizing it to "1/100 of no unit" would 
work. Would be glad to hear other ideas on this.

  Indeed we are only talking about the mobile term box right now.
  Looking at the 2 Gerrit changes I think something like #1 would be best (I 
haven't seen the hook in #2 used at all anywhere).
  Although #1 could en changed to register a new parser option called 
wb-termbox for example, default value null, used in cache key and when termbox 
is rendered set it to 2.
  
  I believe that would leave the current cache keys as they are / only change 
the cache key for renders with the termbox, but it would be worth checking that.
  
  I haven't dug into all of the code, but is shouldRenderTermbox always the 
right thing to be checking?
  I guess the cache avoidence when the SSR is down etc happens somewhere else?
  
  The future should also be considered, and what is the behaviour is we 
complete termbox for desktop, roll it out everywhere, but then need to turn the 
feature off / shouldRenderTermbox = false.
  Is turning the feature off going to result in all pcache entities essentially 
being lost, as it probably shouldn't.
  But maybe this should be something we think about for the desktop release 
rather than just mobile, but we don't want to forget.

  Hey Erik. Thanks! This is a good start. I'm interested to learn a bit more 
about how it works and how much we can tweak it, but there do definitely seem 
to be some logistical limitations that we might not even be able to solve with 
more data on more files. Still, something is better than nothing! 

  According to @Lucas_Werkmeister_WMDE the reason is:
  
  MWAPI doesn’t support continuation for EntitySearch at all – in the source 
code, MWApiServiceCall.parseContinue() only looks at `//api/continue` in the 
response XML (with a “TODO support other options?”), but 
`action=wbsearchentities` returns a custom `search-continue` property
  
  We need to add support for this in MWAPI.

  I don't think LDF request is a proper way to get the full result. Currently 
one page 

 requires 27 seconds to load, so we need 53 days (if the request not run in 
parallel) to get all results, and the result set will change significantly in 
the interval.
  
  Probably the only way to get the result set is T46581: Partial RDF dumps 
.

parent task, I'm trying to remove the last vestiges of node6 in CI, but this 
repo unfortunately is currently tested with node6 and doesn't pass in node10.

used, please file a #cleanup

  There are still problems with entries I haven't mentioned. I don't see a 
point of fixing individual entries, as the problem is global and affects 
unknown (probably much larger) number of entries - probably all entries updated 
in specific time period should be "updated".

  I think that would probably not work that well. We don't really want to 
provide editors with a mixed old/new experience where they can edit some items 
but not others.
  
  I think we aren't too worried about the load from mobile pageviews so the 
fact that after deployment we'd have just cache misses is probably fine.
  
  I think we're settled that we want to split the cache by new / old termbox. 
This means we'll avoid the above error; we'll also avoid the inverse error if 
we have to revert the deployment and there are now some.new termboxes in the 
cache.
  
  I think the question now is simply where is it best to do the splitting the 
cache?

  It sounds like when old parser cache entries are encountered the old 
behaviour should continue to happen, and the new SSR service should not be 
called.
  Otherwise turning on the feature will essentially purge / reject / ignore all 
previously cached pages, which is not a best situation.
  
  Instead including something new in the parser cache  output and being able to 
detect old Vs new parser cache outputs would be best. Allowing conditional 
running of the SSR code Vs legacy code.
  
  This would mean that the SSR termbox is slowly introduced and cached for 
wikidata.
  
  Thoughts?

those patches, i.e.

be the right (tm) way to achieve what we want to achieve?
  It looks like both hooks would lead to a success, but there must be some 
reasons why two separate hooks exist. We've come up with some interpretations 
for our use, but still are not sure which direction we should continue in.

  @Jakob_WMDE and I spent quite some time looking at it today. We came to the 
following discoveries.
  
  We attempted to add a new cache key:
  
  We tried registering it in \Wikibase\RepoHooks::onParserOptionsRegister
  and both adding the extra key to to ParserOptions (`$options->addExtraKey( 
'wbNewTermbox' );`) and recording the option ParserOptions 
(`$output->recordOption( 'wbNewTermbox' );`) in 
extensions/Wikibase/repo/includes/Content/EntityContent.php
  
  This was unsuccessful because the parser option we created ('wbNewTermbox') 
was not used in generating the ParserCache key until after a new parser cache 
entry was made:
  This can be seen in \ParserCache::getKey (includes/parser/ParserCache.php:194 
and includes/parser/ParserCache.php:216) where the options keys themselves are 
read from the cache.
  
  Perhaps this wouldn't be an issue if we recomputed the ParserCache options at 
this point?

  It works as we intend in the case that you purge the parser cache first. Then 
the key is taken into account and the cache is correctly split for any future 
cache reads

configurable length limit. We should obey it to avoid the case where a user 
enters a string longer than the allowed limit and the edit then gets rejected

  One of the possible reasons for the issues with Graph extension 
 is that the code would not comply 
to the new requirements of the Query Service: using a user-agent header to 
identify tools sending queries.
  
  The first step would be to check on Graphoid's code to check if the tool is 
sending a user-agent header ; if so, we can exclude this option from the 
possible reasons.

  The refactor patchset now checks out with all the wikidata dumps including 
json. I'd like to deploy it this weekend, giving plenty of time to make sure

TASK DESCRIPTION
  `wikibase.entityPage.entityLoaded` hook is pretty expensive and calls 
Special:EntityData. Right now, it's being used in every page load to fix 
T85499: wbEntity shouldn't be served on every page load 
 but it's better to keep the hook for 
gadget developers but stop using it in our frontend code or lazy load it (like 
when someone wants to edit the entity).

  Discovered when trying to debug the parsercache for termbox.

  We were expecting the cache to be split between desktop and mobile pages. 
Maybe this is expected but it seems risky because responsiveimages is something 
we didn't explicitly do and therefore we could anticipate collisions between 
mobile and desktop cache entries if this were to change.

  What I see on the recording is basically what this task describes, great 
stuff @Rosalie_WMDE !
  One think I noticed, that it looks like the "Add qualifier" was clicked 
twice, i.e. there are two "Property" fields and two "remove" icons. This is due 
to accidental double clicking for reporting, right?
  
  For others to learn more about Wikidata Tours, it would be great to see the 
code you've changed. With Wikidata Tours being the wiki-specific script this is 
going to be a bit tricky, but maybe sharing the relevant files as Github gist 
or something like this would work here?

  And I think that is because they focus on human traffic, whereas we have the 
total number, right?
  Would it be possible to show seperate lines for human and bot traffic per 
graph?

TASK DESCRIPTION
  As a prolific user of navpopups at many wikis, I'd like to be able to pull in 
the related high-level content from Wikidata, in multiple languages.
  
  This would aid readers with language-learning, 
  and editors with disambiguation-page editing and intro-section writing.
  
  **Example**
  E.g. if a user is hovering at links on w:en:Moon_(disambiguation) 
, then they could see the:
  
  - Label -- Description -- Aliases
  
  in any selected languages, 
  from Q405 , Q2537 
, Q1460138 
, etc,
  displayed below the normal page-preview
  
  **Desired config**:
  E.g. A user could set `popupLang : en, de, fr, he` to get them in that order. 
  And maybe also set `popupValues : label, description, aliases, item(#)` in 
case they don't want all of them. And plain property numbers for full config 
madness and specialist joy! :D
  
  **Design-wise**: idk. Maybe append them to the bottom of the standard 
designs, in 3 columns like in Wikidata's "in more languages" box. It'd make 
them taller overall, but worth it I think.
