  Thanks for tagging, but this is something the software should just be able to 
handle. The software should assume things get deleted and should have tests to 
confirm it works when something is deleted. So no, any wiki using data from 
Wikidata should right their software in a way that it can handle the fact that 
stuff gets deleted. We probably need to be doing a round of checking and 
awareness. Having exceptions like this in production is not really my preferred 
way of raising awareness, but it's probably quite effective.

  IMO, the task as written is resolved because there are no more CI failures 
coming from CentralNotice or WikibaseRepo.  The trade-off is that we have zero 
test coverage of EventBus hooks

coverage overall, so it isn't like this cross-extension interaction is the only 
weak link.

  First occurrence in Logstash is on 2020-04-08T10:37:49; I don’t see any 
relevant-looking SAL entries around that time, but 1.35.0-wmf.27 was deployed 
to group0 the previous evening (2020-04-07, around 20:00, see T247774 
).

  CCing @Multichill, who deleted the property in question. Even if the error is 
handled better in WikibaseMediaInfo in the future, I figure the property 
deletion process should have included a haswbstatement search on Commons 
, not 
only checking that it wasn’t used anymore on Wikidata.

  Likely related to (possibly a duplicate of) T44396: duplicate/invalid 
language codes .
  
  That task notes that the regular Wikidata user interface already doesn’t 
allow you to set terms using deprecated language codes – if you add e. g. 
`?uselang=zh-yue` to the URL, MediaWiki normalizes it (in this case to `yue`) 
before Wikibase ever sees it. (The example edits I linked above were made via 
Special:SetLabel , which 
doesn’t use the user interface language and so still allows those language 
codes.) Maybe the Commons app should apply a similar mapping even if the 
underlying Wikibase problem isn’t fixed soon (so it would still be possible to 
set `zh-yue` via the API, but it wouldn’t happen so often through the Commons 
app.)

  I think this affects Wikidata as well – I just added separate and distinct 
yue and zh-yue labels to the sandbox item 
, which 
probably shouldn’t be possible. It looks like both MediaWiki (meta=languageinfo 
)
 and Wikibase (meta=wbcontentlanguages 
)
 consider `yue` and `zh-yue` to be different languages to some degree (albeit 
with the same name and autonym).
  
  The same seems to be true for other deprecated language codes, e. g. `als` (⇒ 
`gsw`) or `be-x-old` (⇒ `be-tarask`).

TASK DESCRIPTION
  I tried to edit the Label of an item. In Wikidata Quickstatements, it's no 
problem, however with Docker Wikibase it doesn't work, always producing this 
error:  **"Revision with ID not found"**.
  
  - Creating a new item with a label with Docker Wikibase - Quickstatements 
works
  - Changing the label of an existing item via API (e.g. with wikibase-cli) 
works
  
  -> however this does not work with Quickstatements in the Docker Wikibase
  
  Apart from this, there is a **problem with quotes in quickstatements**. 
Often, I have to use three quotation marks to make the quickstatements commands 
work (in command: """Label""" instead of "Label"), but this results in the 
created label having quotation marks in it (result: "Label" instead of Label). 
Using just one quotation mark will produce error.
