  Well, then we need a new field for the caption. They are not meant to solve 
the same problem and should almost always be different from each other.  So for 
every image it would be very useful with two separate text fields.

  In terms of the technical solution, this would only be to serve us a 
notification, not to do the actual fix.
  So upon notification then someone would need to go look at the result of the 
audit and determine what libraries need updating etc.

  The jenkins job for the root of wikibase has actually been running for over a

  As I will not be able to join the Planning/Story time, my input to the 
discussion here: If the "implementing the technical solution" is preferred what 
is not yet defined is what to do in cases where trivial automated fix are not 
sufficient (basically the essential reason to actually have really people look 
into those deps)

  I think if at estimation the technical solution is small it may be worth it 
(for more promptly noticing these things).
  I think the manual solution would need to be facilitated with a list (such as 
the one we discussed in a retro today).
  @WMDE-leszek I was going to propose asking the wider team to see if we as a 
whole would be happy with just an email reminder to do it.

  If the approach boils down to "Patch Tuesday", I'd assign this to management. 
We've had taken a first stab on introducing this as a "team activity" in the 
late 2020. Initial implementation failed due to the gallore of other "special" 
things happening in Deecember, but kickstarting it again would be easy and 
fairly non controversial.
  If there is no technical/code work involved, I would not see it as a campsite 
task no more.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  (Based on discussion from review meeting)
  
  **Problem:**
  The editor starts with a list of Item IDs but they do not show up again in 
the results table. We should show the Item ID there as well in addition to the 
label, similar to how we do it in other places.
  This will become especially relevant once the user can start with a SPARQL 
query instead of a list of Item IDs.
  
  **BDD**
  GIVEN a list of Item IDs
  WHEN evaluating them with the Item Quality Evaluator
  THEN the results table contains the label, ID and ORES score
  
  **Acceptance criteria:**
  
  [ ] first column of results table contains not just the label but the label 
and the Item ID
  [ ] format is "foo (Q)"
  [ ] if no label is available for the Item then only the ID is shown

  I think we should consider the probability scores for the individual classes 
basically as an implementation detail. They do not provide more fine-grained 
guidance on how to improve the Item or give the ability to better understand 
why the score was given. Based on that I'd say yes let's reduce it to one final 
score.

reproduced by the new application (e.g. querying for a specific date like 
01-01-2021 will result in false positives, since 2021 with precision year will 
also be retrieved). In the context of the Query Builder, users will only be 
able to enter specific dates, and precision will be interpreted based on their 
input (we are yet to define how some values – e.g. years only – would be 
translated into SPARQL. This might be the key to alleviate some of the inherent 
issues with dates?). This data type is definitely a tricky one, and we wouldn't 
like to proceed being unaware of big problems. Since you seem to really have a 
deep understanding of the issue and its consequences, it'd be great if you'd be

  In case the API can’t be reached: "There was a problem connecting to the 
service. Please check your internet connection or try again later"
  
  In case the result can’t be parsed: "There was a problem parsing the results 
from the APIs. This is probably a problem with our code. If you know how,

  The URI for the image is https://commons.wikimedia.org/entity/M6919529 (yes, 
https, not http, that got messed up, see T258590 
). You can see an RDF representation 
of that at https://commons.wikimedia.org/entity/M6919529.rdf . We should 
someone include this URI on Wikidata too. The royal way would be to update the 
image data type which accepts the Mediainfo ID and does all the logic like the 
current image data type.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  **Summary:** Most of the documentation about the Wikibase Lexeme data model 
has been written before the feature was out. The description of the data model, 
in particular the visual document, contains examples of ontologies that are not 
valid anymore, and would deserve some cleaning.

  Hey over here. I'm writing to warn you that, unfortunately, this can be 
extremely problematic. Since Wikibase stores all dates with day precision, 
regardless of their actual precision (which is stored separately), and the 
irrelevant part of the value can be arbitrary, it's very easy to generate 
misinformation with these features, as has been quietly happening for years and 
continues to happen to many agents and to at least three Property constraint 
types (see T168379 , one of the most 
important causes of false positives in the very system that is intended to 
ensure data quality; and see https://reasonator.toolforge.org/?q=Q100410179 
mentioning the year 1476, totally arbitrary value that Wikibase stores 
internally and shamelessly communicates to all software agents but does not 
display in its web interface). Including these features in the Query Builder 
aimed at the general public without first resolving this problem could have 
very undesirable consequences. I should have opened a Phabricator task 
describing this general problem and all its consequences, but I have never 
found the time or known where to start because of its magnitude and the 
questions it opens up.

  I considered the flyout, but it turns out to be harder to integrate in 
existing layouts, so I went ahead with a popup.

  It would be called from the link in the header on both pages.
  The page is not scrollable when it is open; the popups position is fixed. 
Thus, the popup has a scrollbar. 
  It closes again when clicking on the "Back to…"  on top, or, on desktop, when 
users click on the darkened areas around it.
  
  The popup is opened from a link in the header on both of our views

hadoop) but also did not find anything there.

until we get more info on the error.

  random-ish update re: checkpoint storage after a chat with @Zbyszko: the 
current situation is that we're using thanos-swift cluster for wdqs flink 
checkpoints. This is meant to be a temporary allocation and wdqs to be 
eventually moved off thanos-swift cluster. Things have shifted a bit and we're 
building MOSS (misc object storage service) as a separate swift cluster exactly 
for these use cases (and more, T264291 
). The plan is thus to keep using 
thanos-swift for the time being until moss is online and then migrate the 
updater there.

  The error could appear if:
  
  - There was a problem connecting to the Wikidata API or ORES API (could be 
WiFi or the service is down)
  - There was a problem parsing the results from the APIs (purely internal to 
the application)
