I just registered a new user on Wikidata (username test_123_123) and still get the same error when running the code on paws. So I guess it is still an issue.
To be honest, I kind of gave up on trying to get pywikibot to run locally a while ago due to some failed

TASK DESCRIPTIONI created a new user to make some changes as a bot. That user was registered with wikidata.
