[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] T297066: Unable to add multiple statements at once in Structured Data on Commons

2021-12-05 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister created this task.
LucasWerkmeister added projects: SDC General, SDC-Statements, Regression.
Restricted Application added a subscriber: Aklapper.
Restricted Application added a project: Structured-Data-Backlog.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  **List of steps to reproduce** (step by step, including full links if
applicable):

  - on Beta, find a file with no statements yet, e.g. this one
<https://commons.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/File:Tamvision%E2%80%99s_camera_operators_Kauno_Peltola,_Lasse_Koskinen_and_Tuomo_Kurikka_pose_next_to_television_cameras_at_Frenckell%E2%80%99s_studio_in_Tampere,_1.2.1965.jpg>
  - switch to the “Structured data” tab
  - either select the “depicts” input, or click “add statement”, select an
item-type property (e.g. `P116`), then select the value input
  - enter one value, e.g. `Q11`, and select it
  - enter a second value, e.g. `Q12`

  **What happens?**:
  Nothing. No search results are shown, the second value cannot be added.

  **What should have happened instead?**:
  There should be search results for the second value (`Q12`), and it should be
possible to select a result in order to add a corresponding statement.

  **Software version (if not a Wikimedia wiki), browser information,
screenshots, other information, etc**:
  WikibaseMediaInfo c07222c
<https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/rEWBIc07222cddfec25272bc79440e0796a03a4f7f5fa>
 (not yet in production)

  **Additional information**:
  This regressed between 2021-12-01
<https://github.com/lucaswerkmeister/ACDC/actions/runs/1527751175> and
2021-12-02 <https://github.com/lucaswerkmeister/ACDC/actions/runs/1532508469>.

[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] T296572: wikibase-noentity (“this entity does not exist”) message shown on missing main-namespace pages on Commons

2021-11-27 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister created this task.
LucasWerkmeister added projects: MediaWiki-extensions-WikibaseRepository, SDC
General, MediaWiki-Internationalization.
Restricted Application added a subscriber: Aklapper.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  **To reproduce**, visit any of the following links:

  - https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=doesnotexist=en-gb
  - https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=doesnotexist=de
  - https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=doesnotexist=qqx

  **What happens?**:
  The `wikibase-noentity` message is shown; in en-gb:

  > This entity does not exist. You can search the related logs
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log=Doesnotexist>
to find out where it went.

  **What should have happened instead?**:
  Given that the main namespace on Wikimedia Commons is not used for entities,
the regular `noarticletext` message should be shown instead, as happens e.g. on
Project:doesnotexist
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Project:doesnotexist=qqx>.

  **Software version (if not a Wikimedia wiki), browser information,
screenshots, other information, etc**:
  1.38.0-wmf.9 (6639f89
<https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/rMW6639f89f208348b1347fa92c303d2bc24470fb43>),

<https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/rEWBA8d8c1eda21c160d8405d8b4d0c37d86a003b047c>

  Note: in English, it’s not obvious that this happens, because
MediaWiki:Wikibase-noentity
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Wikibase-noentity> is locally
overridden to transclude `{{int:noarticletext}}`, effectively hiding the bug as
long as you use the English user interface.

  I can’t speak for others, but as a tool developer, I don’t want to have to
authenticate with WCQS. If you put an OAuth gate before the query service, I
will just remove support for it from my tool entirely (as I already said in
this commit message

  > Also, note how the edit links in the sitelink groups (first screenshot)
still say edit, rather than “golygu” as in ?uselang=cy.

  Though that might just be because this message (`wikibase-edit`) is actually
overridden in `en-gb`, rather than falling back to `en`.

[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] T286679: Some interface messages are in Welsh when British English is selected as the interface language

  On the other hand, the sidebar, for instance, is unaffected (in ?uselang=cy
it’s different):

  FWIW, I don’t think the default should change at all. Once T272356

  > So this should be fairly straightforward now, I assume – check if the
SyntaxHighlight extension is loaded, and if yes, ask it to parse the equivalent
of a `` tag with the ShExC code, and put the result into the
HTML output. (Otherwise, keep doing whatever we’re doing at the moment, which I
assume is just a plain `` element.)

  It did turn out to be fairly straightforward, at least in my opinion. (I
suppose code reviewers are free to disagree.)

  The summary is parsed as a summary, that’s not the problem as far as I
understand. But it’s now trying to parse page content even when neither `text`
nor `page` have been specified, and failing if the empty string isn’t valid
content.

2021-04-07 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister added a comment.

  Hm, thanks. If I add `contentmodel` `text/x-wiki`, I get an internal error
instead:
https://www.wikidata.org/w/api.php?action=parse=json=summary==text%2Fx-wiki

  counterexample
{
"error": {
"code": "internal_api_error_InvalidArgumentException",
"info": "[0009a4bd-06fa-48c2-a925-b7875275e3d3] Caught exception of
type InvalidArgumentException",
"errorclass": "InvalidArgumentException"
},
"servedby": "mw1346"
}

  I guess that must be because of the missing `text`. If I add `text` as empty,
then it works. (But there are also more warning, because it’s still not a
proper content parse request – except I’m not interested in parsing content in
the first place, only the edit summary. But apparently something changed that
makes parsing the summary alone more difficult?)

  Anyways – if this is indeed exclusive to Wikidata (and Test Wikidata, I guess
– do we have other wikis where the main namespace is not wikitext?), then this
probably doesn’t need to block the train.

  Ah, now it’s working. Maybe GitHub had a hiccup (there’s an incident

  Hm, I tried pushing some extra commits to the `twn` branch (to fix the
failing CI), but they’re not showing up in the pull request. Any ideas why? (I
can see the commits if I look at the `twn` branch outside the pull request.)

2021-03-08 Thread LucasWerkmeister

  Thanks, I didn’t know that. In the case of the existing translations (that
will now be imported into translatewiki.net), they were contributed on Wikidata
under CC BY-SA 3.0 exclusively, and according to Creative Commons’ Compatible
Licenses page
<https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/licensing-considerations/compatible-licenses>,
 that license is not one-way compatible with any other license (unlike CC BY-SA
**4**.0, which allows licensing under GPLv3… but not AGPLv3, nor GPLv3 //or
later//? it’s confusing). So if I understand this correctly, while future
contributions on translatewiki.net might be licensed under AGPLv3 (thanks to
the note in the about page), the whole of the translations will still have to
remain CC BY-SA 3.0 only, unless we ask the authors of the
pre-translatewiki.net translations to relicense, or discard the old
translations. Amending the project page sounds like the best option to me.

  Side note: the project page
<https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Translating:Wikidata_Lexeme_Forms> says
“license: AGPL 3 or later”, but so far I’ve treating the translations and
templates of the tool as CC BY-SA 3.0 (since they’re defined on-wiki), and
AGPL3 is only for code. Is that field meant to document the license of the
translations or of the rest of the software?

  A workaround //might// be to insert `sed 's/}{/},{/g'` into the pipeline

  Ah, I see. It’s very curious that all these “error points” correspond to very
low item IDs…

  That said, I quickly looked at the IDs of the first 1000 items in the dump,
and none of the seven IDs in those “error points” were among them. So I don’t
yet know whether those items are mysteriously appearing in the dump for a
second time, or whether this is their first and only appearance, just without
the `,\n` that’s supposed to be there.

  Thanks!

  1. I forgot about qqq.json, I added some now. (I also noticed the i18n files
were using underscores in the message keys, when hyphens would probably be
better for you. Changed to hyphens now.)
  2. Is this a requirement? I would prefer if translatewiki opened pull
requests against the repository, rather than pushing directly. I need to
manually do something to deploy the changes in either way, and this way, test
failures due to translation issues won’t immediately break the build on the
`main` branch.

  I would suggest to first try how the SDC UI fares with large statement lists,
e.g. on a test wiki (Test Wikimedia Commons

and see what kind of problems emerge, before implementing a solution.

  To date, the file with most depicts statements

 seems to be Nature Timespiral.png

 apart from that, the messages are plain text – there has been no need for any
kind of markup (wikitext, markdown, …) so far.

  I just remembered that that’s not true – one message contains an ``

be HTML.)

GitHub <https://github.com/lucaswerkmeister/tool-lexeme-forms/tree/i18n> which
saves all the messages in JSON files in an `i18n/` directory, in MediaWiki
format; the tool then converts the syntax back to Python syntax when loading
the files. This should hopefully mean that no special handling on
translatewiki.net’s side will be necessary.

[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] T273830: Merging lexemes fails if source lexeme has links to its own senses

2021-02-03 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister added a comment.

  I looked a bit into the code and I’m pretty sure that this is because
Wikibase’s `StatementEntityReferenceExtractor` is stateful (has
`$this->entityIds`, never clears them). WikibaseLexeme’s
`NoCrossReferencingLexemeStatements` uses the same
`LexemeStatementEntityReferenceExtractor` to extract referenced entity IDs from
both lexemes, and the `LexemeStatementEntityReferenceExtractor` contains a
`StatementEntityReferenceExtractor` which, due to the way it’s written, will
return any IDs it already found on future `extractEntityIds()` calls, so when
WikibaseLexeme has

$oneRefIds = $this->refExtractor->extractEntityIds( $one );
$twoRefIds = $this->refExtractor->extractEntityIds( $two );

  then `$oneRefIds` will be all the entity IDs referenced in `$one` (the
`$source`, according to how the class is used in `LexemeMerger`), but
`$twoRefIds` will be all the entity IDs referenced in `$two` (`$target`) //and
`$one`//, so if `$one` references itself, that’s counted as a reference from
`$two` to `$one` and therefore blocks the merge. This explanation is consistent
with how a merge from L1474 into L1473 is blocked (L1474 is the source lexeme
and also the one that has the self-reference), while a merge from L1473 into
L1474 is allowed (not tested with those lexemes, but tested with a real pair on
Wikidata).

  > I see translations are currently here:
https://github.com/lucaswerkmeister/tool-lexeme-forms/blob/main/translations.py.
 Would it be possible to have them in one per language? Also something like
JSON would be easier to parse.

  Sure, not a problem.

  > The question here is rather who is going to write that code (in PHP) and
maintain it, and how complex it is, and is the format unique to this project or
is it reusable for others as well.

  I looked a bit at the PHP code, and maybe we don’t need custom code for this
tool at all? Apparently the `JsonFFS` employs a class called `ArrayFlattener`,
which has the ability to parse CLDR plural syntax in both directions; if
translatewiki.net exports this parsed CLDR syntax into the JSON file, I can
probably turn that JSON back into Python-style messages on my end. We would
need a corresponding option to parse the `{{GENDER:}}` magic word into a
structured form as well, but that might be useful for other tools too?

  > A specification of some sort for the syntax would be a good starting point.

  The formatters have some documentation in formatters.py

dreadful, so I would much prefer translation exports through GitHub pull
requests. (In theory, I could give the exporter push rights to the main branch,
but I would still need to manually deploy the translations, so I would prefer
for the exporter to open pull requests which I then merge.)

  **Project description**:
  Wikidata Lexeme Forms is a tool to create and edit the Forms of Wikidata
Lexemes, based on templates that define what different kind of Lexemes look
like – for instance, there are forms for English nouns, German verbs, Bengali
nouns (animate), etc. The templates are maintained on wiki pages (see
Wikidata:Wikidata Lexeme Forms#Language support
<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Wikidata_Lexeme_Forms#Language_support>),
 and currently, translations are maintained on the same pages. Both the
templates and the translations are manually synchronized from the wiki pages to
the tool’s source code (Python) by the developers (mainly me).

  The subject of moving those translations to translatewiki.net has been
brought up before (cc @Amire80), but I don’t even remember where that was, so I
figure it makes sense to kick it off again here. From my point of view as the
developer of the tool, the main expected benefit would be to make it easier to
add new messages. Currently, if I add a new feature (or some other improvement,
e.g. nicer error pages) that introduces a new message, this will require me to
add the message to all the language pages on-wiki, so that it can be
translated; I’m starting to notice that the prospect of having to update dozens
of wiki pages discourages me from such new developments, which doesn’t seem
like a healthy incentive. I hope that moving the translations to
translatewiki.net will remove that barrier. From a translator’s point of view,
I’m told that editing translatewiki.net is more convenient than the current
workflow.

  The main problem I see is the message syntax. The tool is written in Python,
so the standard MediaWiki formatting (`{{PLURAL:}}`, `{{GENDER:}}`) is not
available; I wrote some Python formatters that recognize a more Pythonic
syntax, and manually translate the MediaWiki syntax to the Python one when
moving the translations to the source code, for instance:

  > $1, $2, {{PLURAL:$3|0=no statements|one statement|$3 statements}}

{form_link}, {grammatical_feature_labels!l}, {statements!p:0=no
statements:one=one statement:other={statements} statements}

  > Ci dispiace, ma non sei {{GENDER:$1|autorizzato|autorizzata|autorizzato/a}}
a usare il caricamento di massa.

Ci dispiace, ma non sei
{user!g:m=autorizzato:f=autorizzata:n=autorizzato/a} a usare il caricamento di
massa.

  The first example demonstrates plural (`!p`, `{{PLURAL:}}`) and list (`!l`,
no MediaWiki equivalent) handling, whereas the second example demonstrates
gender (`!g`, `{{GENDER:}}`) handling. All Python examples also use variable
names (`form_link` etc.) rather than numeric indices (`$1`, `$2` etc.), though
it’s probably possible to migrate the Python code to positional arguments if
adding the variable names to the translatewiki.net export proves unfeasible.

  Is it possible to make translatewiki.net translate the MediaWiki syntax to
the Python syntax on export? If not, is it acceptable to require translators to
write the Python syntax directly when translating?

  Another peculiarity of this tool is that the translations are directly tied
to the template: there’s no way to select the user interface language – rather,
the interface language is the same as the language of t

  Reproducible in Firefox 84 on Linux, and also when creating a new sense (as
long as there’s at least one other gloss, so that there’s something to save).

[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] T268689: Lexeme language code allows both upper and lowercase qids in -x-qid syntax

2020-11-24 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister added a comment.

  `mis-x-Q1` validation happens in LexemeTermLanguageValidator
<https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/g/mediawiki/extensions/WikibaseLexeme/+/60ffd38a76d3c59f3ad2aeba429be519e9651737/src/DataAccess/ChangeOp/Validation/LexemeTermLanguageValidator.php>:

// ...
if ( count( $parts ) > 1 && !$this->isValidItemId( $parts[1] )
) {
$context->addViolation( new InvalidItemId( $parts[1] )
);
}
}
private function isValidItemId( $id ) {
return preg_match( ItemId::PATTERN, $id );
}

  `ItemId::PATTERN` allows both lower- and uppercase Q. If we’d noticed this
during initial development, we probably should’ve allowed only one of them
here. But given that lexemes with both now exist on Wikidata, that might be too
heavy-handed…

  On the other hand – it’s in change-op validation, not in the core data model.
So maybe if we add such a restriction, it only applies to new edits, and you
can still edit existing lexemes with such language codes. Not sure.

  Another parameter from `action=edit` which the Wikibase APIs don’t have is
`watchlist` (`nochange`, `preferences`, `unwatch`, `watch`). Something like
this parameter would probably be required to resolve the issue of
QuickStatements watchlisting created/edited items
<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Help_talk:QuickStatements#Watchlist_addition_of_QS_edits>
 – I haven’t seen anyone call for a new API parameter yet, but I assume that’s
how @matej_suchanek’s comment that “each //tool// should give users ability to
control the watchlist” would be implemented.

2020-10-10 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister created this task.
LucasWerkmeister added a project: Wikidata.
Restricted Application added a subscriber: Aklapper.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  I just discovered that FactGrid’s second largest table (after `text`) is
`wb_changes`, presumably because it never occurred to the wiki admins
(including me) that we should run the `pruneChanges.php` maintenance script.
Similarly, I’m not sure if change dispatching (to the wiki as its own client)
works properly, because I don’t think we ever set up a `dispatchChanges.php`
cronjob. All we have is a systemd service that keeps running `runJobs.php`,
under the assumption that this is all that you need to keep a MediaWiki
instance running.

  There are probably good reasons for having change dispatching and pruning in
separate scripts on Wikidata. But I think it would make managing smaller
Wikibase wikis much easier if by default, Wikibase arranged for “everything
necessary” to happen through the job queue, without requiring additional
maintenance scripts. (There would be a few additional settings for things like
the `pruneChanges.php` “keep” and “grace” periods, with reasonable defaults.)

[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] T265178: Templatized SPARQL query does not seem to work on WCQS

2020-10-09 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister added a comment.

  Although templates don’t really work for items either. Example query:

#TEMPLATE={"template":"Files depicting
?subject","variables":{"?subject":{"query":" SELECT DISTINCT ?id WHERE { []
wdt:P180 ?id. } LIMIT 100"} } }
SELECT ?file WHERE {
  BIND(wd:Q146 AS ?subject).
  ?file wdt:P180 ?subject.
}
LIMIT 5000

  The template is supposed to suggest depicted items, but in the network tools
I can see the query that WCQS sends (reformatted):

SELECT ?id ?label ?description WITH {
  SELECT DISTINCT ?id WHERE { [] wdt:P180 ?id. } LIMIT 100
} AS %inner
WHERE {
  INCLUDE %inner.
  ?id rdfs:label ?label.
  ?id schema:description ?description.
  FILTER((LANG(?label)) = "en")
  FILTER((LANG(?description)) = "en")
}
ORDER BY DESC(?count)
LIMIT 100

  And this returns 0 results because, on WCQS, the label and description
triples don’t exist (you’d have to federate those to Wikidata).

  I think I just realized why it’s not working (after failing to figure it out
earlier today): the template query for ?username returns strings, but the query
service UI currently only supports item variables in templates. You’d probably
get the same error on WDQS if you tried to use strings in templates (but there
would be less of a need to use strings in a Wikidata query, I guess).

[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] T237899: Wikidata item ID changes caused by merges do not update entities on Structured data on Commons

2020-09-14 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister added a comment.

  Note that KrBot only updates statements pointing to redirects after a certain
time has passed (a week, I believe). This is by design: otherwise, it would be
more difficult to “untangle” bad merges, since after undoing the merge on the
item itself, you could not distinguish between statements that should now point
back to the original item and statements that always pointed to the other
(merge target) item.

  This is less of a problem nowadays, since we have edit groups
<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Edit_groups> and KrBot assigns an edit
group per processed merge (and you can undo the entire edit group); on the
other hand, edit groups are a Wikidata-only tool (compare T203557
<https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T203557>), so on Commons you would still
have this problem of being unable to untangle bad merges.

  I have trouble imagining Wikibase automatically updating references to
redirects after such a long delay, though.

[Wikidata-bugs] [Maniphest] T217144: Wikibase entities created/edited via OAuth consumer without “edit your watchlist” grant are not added to watchlist despite setting

2020-09-13 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister added a comment.

  I tested the above fix with the following Python script:

#!/usr/bin/python3
import json
import mwapi

session = mwapi.Session(host='http://localhost', api_path='/wiki1/api.php')
lgtoken = session.get(action='query',
  meta='tokens',
  type='login')['query']['tokens']['logintoken']
session.post(action='login',
 lgname='Lucas Werkmeister@T217144',
 lgpassword='[redacted]',
 lgtoken=lgtoken)

token = session.get(action='query',
meta='tokens',
type='csrf')['query']['tokens']['csrftoken']
id = session.post(action='wbeditentity',
  new='lexeme',
  token=token,
  data=json.dumps({
  'type': 'lexeme',
  'lemmas': {'en': {'language': 'en', 'value':
'T217144'}},
  'lexicalCategory': 'Q10',
  'language': 'Q85',
  'claims': [],
  'forms': [],
  'senses': [],
  }))['entity']['id']
print(f'http://localhost/wiki1/index.php/Lexeme:{id}')

  With the fix checked out locally, the new lexeme would be on my watchlist;
without the fix, it would be missing.

  It looks like the replag is oscillating? If I reload the tool a few times,
sometimes the s8 lag on the web cluster vanishes completely, while at other
times it’s still at 9 hours. (On the analytics cluster, it seems to be more
stable, at some thirteen and a half hours.) Maybe there are multiple servers
behind web.db.svc.eqiad.wmflabs, and only some of them have stopped updating?
(The #wikidata-query-service
<https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/tag/wikidata-query-service/> sometimes
exhibits similar behavior.)

  One question to be decided: to what extent do we announce this? Does this
fall under the stable interface policy

 Do we notify wikidata-l, wikidata-tech-l, and/or wikibase-l? (I sort of don’t
want to bother too many people with this, because as far as I understand, this
isn’t usually a setting you need to keep around forever, just for the initial

  The config is used in the `filePageDisplay` and `statements` modules, and
apparently `filePageDisplay` directly depends on `statements`, so I guess the
config could be merged into the `statements` module.

  (While looking at this, I also noticed that WBMI has several separate
`.styles` modules – `.filepage.styles`, `.mediasearch.styles`,
`.statements.styles` – and both lists them as dependencies of the respective
non-styles module and directly adds them via `addModuleStyles` in PHP. That
looks like it could be simplified to some extent as well.)

2020-06-01 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister created this task.
LucasWerkmeister added a project: SDC General.
Restricted Application added a subscriber: Aklapper.
Restricted Application added a project: Wikidata.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  I just noticed that the AC/DC gadget
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Help:Gadget-ACDC> (of
which I’m the main developer) can’t add monolingual text statements when it’s
loaded on a category page (but it can add them when loaded on a file page). The
reason for this seems to be that `MonolingualTextInputWidget` initializes its
ULS widget with a list of languages from the `wbTermsLanguages` config value:

this.language = new UlsWidget( {
language: this.state.language,
languages: mw.config.get( 'wbTermsLanguages' ),
label: mw.message( 'wikibasemediainfo-monolingualtext-language-label'
).text()
} );

  But that config value is only provided on file pages:

/**
 * @param \OutputPage $out
 * @param bool $isMediaInfoPage
 * @param string[] $termsLanguages Array with language codes as keys and
autonyms as values
 * @param UserLanguageLookup $userLanguageLookup
 * @param DispatchingEntityViewFactory $entityViewFactory
 * @param array $jsConfigVars Variables to expose to JavaScript
 * @throws \OOUI\Exception
 */
public function doBeforePageDisplay(
$out,
$isMediaInfoPage,
array $termsLanguages,
UserLanguageLookup $userLanguageLookup,
DispatchingEntityViewFactory $entityViewFactory,
array $jsConfigVars = []
) {
// Site-wide config
$modules = [ 'wikibase.mediainfo.search' ];
$moduleStyles = [];

if ( $isMediaInfoPage ) {
// ...
$jsConfigVars = array_merge( $jsConfigVars, [
// ...
'wbTermsLanguages' => $termsLanguages,
// ...
] );
// ...
}

$out->addJsConfigVars( $jsConfigVars );
$out->addModuleStyles( $moduleStyles );
$out->addModules( $modules );
}

  I can work around this in the gadget by setting the `wbTermsLanguages` config
before loading the WikibaseMediaInfo widgets, getting the list of languages
from the API, but I’d rather avoid that.

2020-05-30 Thread LucasWerkmeister
LucasWerkmeister added a comment.

  I’m not sure if the change for Test Commons was correct… I think that wiki
used to use entities from real Wikidata, and now it uses entities from Test
Wikidata, and this task seems to be the most cause of that change.

  The reason I think that Test Commons used to link to real Wikidata is the
AC/DC browser tests. In this commit
<https://github.com/lucaswerkmeister/ACDC/commit/3c3381273bd750ba5c4f2497b9a9fe7372519153>,
 I used `P694` as a property that “ha[s] the same data type” (Item) “on both
beta and real Wikidata”, for browser tests which were designed to run against
Beta and Test Commons (compare the config
<https://github.com/lucaswerkmeister/ACDC/blob/57f99e97cf6371f86320b83328722a3f00605939/wdio.conf.js#L101-L102>);
 on Test Wikidata, on the other hand, P694
<https://test.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P694> is a String property. You can
also see the effect of this change on old revisions of files, such as r2580
<https://test-commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:PermanentLink/2580>:

  The statement widget is grayed out because of the discrepancy between the
data type that the old statement uses (Item – “A” is Q15) and the data type
that its property ID has now (String).
