  I had taken this task up a while ago, but couldn’t follow it up due to my 
lack of familiarity with mediawiki-extensions and my preference towards 
pywikibot projects. Now that I am trying to work towards GSoC in pywikibot, I 
don't think I'll be able devote time towards understanding and solving this, 
and hence am placing it up for grabs.
  
  If no one claims it by April, I'd be glad to take this up again! :)

Well, some other options are:  [ , ],[ / ],[ \ ], [ ; ], [ - ], [ * ]
How about [ , ]?

H j and k as keyboard shortcuts are usually used for previous/next. So I 
fear we can't go with k :(

Being new to the MediaWiki codebase, I was trying to read up on how to achieve 
a solution for this. I found T48538  
to be very helpful. 
Also, sorry, I posted the wrong set of access keys. The MediaWiki shortcut keys 
are here .

The available alphabet keys are: j, k
I hope we can go with 'k'?

The modifier keys remain the same as the ones prescribed on 
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Keyboard_shortcuts
The access key can be 'a', if there are no issues with it?
