TASK DESCRIPTION
For better or worse, External IDs constitute a large portion of the references used in Wikidata. We should have a graph tracking these, so we have an idea how this phenomenon evolves. This graph should probably be added to the Wikidata Datamodel References dashboard.
This issue came up when working on T209399 and deciding that external ids should not be part of the reference property snaks tracked for the Reference Snak main properties graph.
