  The current search is implemented in 
`wikibase/queryService/ui/editor/hint/Rdf.js`, based on 
`wikibase/queryService/api/Wikibase.js`, which uses the `wbsearchentities` API. 
That API is useless on Commons, so someone™ will have to implement an 
alternative search for files – perhaps just using the regular search, limited 
to the file namespace. It might need a new group of namespaces in 
`RdfNamespaces.js` too (in addition to `ENTITY_TYPES`), so the UI knows when to 
search for items and when to search for files.

  I can't find in wikibase/queryService/ui/editor/Editor.js (and "sub-classes") 
what to change in order to allow autocompletion for sdc:. From what I 
understand, adding
  
PREFIX sdc: 
  
  to the query should make the autocompletion work (as per hint/Rdf.js which 
seems to handle all the RDF namespaces). But it does not.
  
  Or maybe that's a config thing?

form `wd:Q12345`? ^^
  
  In other words, you start typing `sdc:Yuzuru Hanyu 20` and it suggests Yuzuru 
Hanyu 2009 JGPF Podium.jpg

and Yuzuru hanyu 2015 worlds.jpg 
, and 
when you select the third file it replaces the input with `sdc:M43058490`.

  Given that mediainfo items are just of the form `sdc:M12345`, is much 
meaningful autocompletion for these actually possible?
  
  (Autocompletion for Commons filenames might be a nice touch, though I doubt 
these would often be specified as literals in queries, as the M-IDs are so much 
shorter).

  As a WMCS user when writing a sparql query and when I start entering the 
`sdc:` prefix I'd like to have the same autocompletion feature currently 
available on wikidata items.
