I'm working with the Community Empowerment Collective Society to provide a wide variety of open training materials and support for community workers. http://www.scn.org/cmp
We are looking for volunteers to translate the training materials into other languages. I have just joined the project and will be looking after the African languages translations. http://www.scn.org/cmp/vole.htm We have some translations and translation volunteers for Akan, Ewe, Igbo, Kikuyu, Kinyarwandan, Kiswahili, Luo, Masai, and Yoruba. I am recruiting additional volunteer translators. Our current priorities are Kiswahili followed by Hausa-Fulani. Does that seem reasonable? What would be the best way to reach potential translation volunteers for these language groups? Are there community service organizations or language students who would find this work interesting and rewarding? We would appreciate your comments and assistance. Community Empowerment is also looking for organizations and community leaders interested in using these training materials in local languages. We would like to collaborate and provide translations and support. ..Valerie --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "WikiEducator" group.
