You are correct Android supports flash videos. Unfortunately Apple
iPad/iPhone doesn't so this is a way around it. HTML5 video provides the
capability to deliver alternative formats - we'll have to wait and see how
this develops.

Have had many battles with video over the years as I have been teaching
undergraduate students multimedia and it has always been an issue. Am
looking forward to some consolidation with HTML 5 however, we still seem to
be heading on a path of requiring multiple versions
