weeks concerning a Wikipedia project he wanted to do.

Did you ever bother to find out if he had an account or not? Did you bother
to help him get his first edit? Knowing perfectly well he wants to lead a
Wikimedia project did you even bother to get him to start out with an
account and some edits?

When he requested a meeting, I took time off work to speak with him and
