• Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year we hope all the Edit-a-thons are

• The international postal systems are not stable enough at the moment, WAM
team have decided to send all the qualified participants/ organizers extra
digital postcards/ certifications. (You will still get the paper ones!)

• Our team has created a meta page so that everyone tracking the progress
and the delivery status.

combined with elections.  To remedy this defect seems quite easy - a future

I think this is a very good "catch".  I'm sure that wasn't the intention of
the rewording.  I didn't
write it and of course I can't speak for anyone else.  I can say that there
has been no discussion
at the board level of anyone suggesting that we should not be able to
select community members
for these seats.

Indeed, my personal view is that as we pursue board expansion, it is
crucial that we try as hard as
we can find to fill the appointed seats with as many deeply experienced
community members (who
have other relevant skills) as we possibly can.

In terms of this proposal, I think that a minor change to clarify this
minor point is a great idea!

I think the ambiguity probably arose with the change from "selected" to
"sourced" - a change that, itself,
deserves great scrutiny.

Pats, thank you for this.  It's a wonderful report.  (I commend it to the
full list to look at.  Fascinating).

I flashed back to years ago, when Megan and Zack (Exley) and I stood in the
middle of the large empty 6th floor of the old headquarters and wondered
how the heck we were gonna come up with $16Million. I believe Megan's
catchphrase that year was "There's NO CRYING IN FUNDRAISING!" It's
fantastic to see the way that the fundraising team has grown and
developed.  You and your team are to be congratulated!

Thanks for raising the money to keep the lights on.
