[Wikimedia-l] WikiWomenCamp 2020 Community Engagement Survey-2

2020-02-01 Thread Dr. Manavpreet Kaur
Dear Wikimedians,

I am writing to invite all women (by gender or sex) to participate in
the *Community
Engagement Survey-2* (https://forms.gle/jgrokJf9CwX6iAZU9) for
WikiWomenCamp2020. The intention of this survey is to identify the
respondent's interests and preferences in order to plan the event more
effectively.

After taking consent from the women wikimedians from different groups and
affiliates (Pre-event survey), we are going to submit a grant request to
organize it in the month of October in India. You can find details about
the Camp here- WikiWomenCamp 2020
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiWomenCamp_2020>. Please feel free to
share your ideas, suggestions and help us update the page. We would also
appreciate any kind of support that you may offer to plan and draft the
proposal.

*Note: The survey will be open until 23:59 hrs IST of 10 February 2020.*

* Please ignore if already done.*
Regards,
Manav

[Wikimedia-l] WikiWomenCamp 2020 - Grant Request

2020-02-09 Thread Dr. Manavpreet Kaur
Hello everyone,

I am glad to share with you all that we have submitted our proposal and
grant request for WikiWomenCamp 2020- Grants: WikiWomenCamp 2020
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Conference/WikiWomenCamp_2020> to
the Wikimedia Foundation. The details about the camp and progress so far
are available on the meta page- WikiWomenCamp 2020
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiWomenCamp_2020>. We would really
appreciate you reviewing the proposal and sharing your suggestions/comments
on the Grants:WikiWomenCamp 2020-Talk Page
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants_talk:Conference/WikiWomenCamp_2020>.
If you support the proposal, please endorse the submission with a
supporting statement at-Grants:WikiWomenCamp 2020-Endorsements
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Conference/WikiWomenCamp_2020#Endorsements>
.

According to the timeline of the Conference and Event Grants program, the
community can review until 14 February 2020, after that we will start
working on incorporating suggestions, making required changes and polishing
the proposal.

As this is an event where we bring together women from different countries
of the Wikimedia movement, leaders of their respective communities and with
strong experience and proven engagement with the gender gap topic, we seek
your support and guidance to plan and organize this better.

Thank you in anticipation of your much-valued inputs and support.

Regards,

Manav

This is amazing. This gives motivation to so many who have been working
tirelessly to provide Covid information on Wikipedia projects. Thank you
and Congratulations to all who made it possible.
