Re: [Wikimedia-l] Info: Wikimedia Conference feedback - Grazie mille!
Thank all of you in *WMIT* for your hard work and organization. It was Beautiful and inviting conference. I enjoyed very much all gatherings and found them very Interesting and informative. Milan is gorgeous! It was great to meet everyone. Till we meet again Dorit WM-IL 2013/4/21 Samuel Klein meta...@gmail.com Ditto: A warm thanks to WMIT for taking up the call, and to everyone who took part in the conference. I enjoyed it tremendously and found both formal and informal parts facilitated well. I regret that I had to fly back a day early! For those staying on past tonight: as bars go, I recommend the Ostello Bello, by Missori station, where a few of us stayed. It is not only an excellent hostel, it runs a wonderfully energetic and inexpensive bar with 2 floors of seating, and table games guitars to play. (Packed every night I was there :) Sj, Just landing in Newark On Apr 21, 2013 11:51 AM, Chris Keating chriskeatingw...@gmail.com wrote: (off-topic) And how come an English pub in Italia?! Might not sound very English but that's exactly like every pub in London. :-) I will now stop spamming the list and get on my flight. ___ Wikimedia-l mailing list Wikimedia-l@lists.wikimedia.org Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimedia-l ___ Wikimedia-l mailing list Wikimedia-l@lists.wikimedia.org Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimedia-l ___ Wikimedia-l mailing list Wikimedia-l@lists.wikimedia.org Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimedia-l

Tante tante grazie, Wikimedia Italia! After 4 Wikimanias, this was my first Wikimedia Conference. A pity my Brazilian friends still didn't realise the importance of this event. So greate to see so many wonderful people to make things better and congratulations for your work! Arrivederci! I look forward to being invited again :-D I'm in the feedback session right now, and I think there are excellent learning points to make to make life easier for our next host. Grazie mille! Since we don't thank each other enough in this movement. I'd like to add my thanks, to Wikimedia Italia for the great job they did organising their first Wikimedia conference, to everyone who spoke or presented, to the facilitators (whose facilitation extended to trying to find a bar with space to seat 20 Wikimedians in the pouring rain last night*), and to everyone who took part. It was lovely to meet so many of you. Thanks also to the Foundation board for holding a boring meeting with no surprises. Chris Wikimedia UK * success was limited - we ended up in something called an English pub but there was no dartboard and the beer was far too cold ;) On Sun, Apr 21, 2013 at 11:21 AM, Fae faewik+g...@gmail.com wrote: I would like to give a personal thankyou to WMIT for successfully taking on the scary challenge of hosting the Wikimedia Conference. There was a surprise for me. Jimbo thinks in South America the most spoken language is Spanish. Although looking now different places at Wikipedia articles this seems a little controversial and we need to fix some articles to to it be consistent. At this moment I left to read my book.
