2019-03-11 Thread Paulo Santos Perneta
Hi Lukas, Helene and Mirjam ,

I join Camelia and Itzik in congratulating Wikimedia DE for finding an
ingenious and clever solution for giving more gender diversity to the
board, and getting those two fantastic new acquisitions to the board in the
way!

I wish a very warm welcome to Helene and Mirjam into the Wikimedia universe
and community. :)

That is great news, Lukas!

I'm happy to see that more and more boards diverse their membership. I
think it's an important thing and a valuable contribution to the ability of
our organizations to see the big picture behind our current movement

Re: [Wikimedia-l] Helene Hahn and Mirjam Stegherr appointed to the WMDE board

2019-03-04 Thread camelia boban
Hi Lucas, Helen and Mirjiam.

WMDE's approach on this appointment of two new members of the board find me
extremely happy.
Professional skills and diversity are weighty factors in our movement and
considering only non-men applications to increase the diversity could be a
suggest in all those cases of affiliates where there are no female or non
binary figures on the board.

I congratulate you on your choice, and wish you a good job with Helen and
Mirjiam to whom I wish a warm welcome in the movement.

Sincerely,
Camelia (WikiDonne UG)
