Re: [Wikimedia-US-CO] Wikimedia-US-CO Digest, Vol 30, Issue 2

2017-01-07 Thread Gaurav Vaidya
Thanks for taking the lead on this, Isarra, and thanks all the candidates for
applying — I wish we had more than one slot to send people on!

I’ve voted at
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedians_of_Colorado_User_Group/wmcon-2017/candidates
 — if anybody else has an opinion on this, please make it known ASAP!

(We should probably also vaguely start thinking about how we can fund as many
people as possible to WikiConference USA 2017.)

cheers,
Gaurav

2017-01-03 Thread Isarra Yos
Neal put up a page, so anyone who's interested in doing this, please add
a blurb so we can argue about it.

https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedians_of_Colorado_User_Group/wmcon-2017/candidates

As Neal said, involvement, goals, and plans. A quick note or link or
whatever reminding everyone who you are, would probably be useful, as
well as something about why you're interested in particular or what you
would like to do with it. Maybe stuff you've organised in the past, or
would like to try doing, that sort of thing.

Or something like that.

so this isn’t just happening on the mailing list. Should we set
January 6 as a deadline to have these in?

having to set out why they’d like to go, what they’ll do in
Berlin and how that will benefit WM-US-CO.

Sounds alright to me. I'd love to go to Berlin, but really can't spare any
time to travel right now.
