I'd like to invite all local Wikipedia/Wikimedia-loving folks to participate in the very early stages of NYCwiki.org, our new wiki specifically for NYC neighborhoods and topics of local interest.
http://nycwiki.org NYCwiki.org is a joint effort of 3 nonprofit groups: Wikimedia New York City, the New York Chapter of the Internet Society, Connecting.nyc Inc., and of course also the whole local NYC grassroots community.
