Time and Place:

Thursday, June 22, 2017
6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
MoMA Reseach and Education Center

Wiki Loves Pride is a global campaign to expand and improve LGBT-related
content across all Wikimedia projects, in all languages. The activities of
Wiki Loves Pride are focused on June, traditionally a month when lesbian,
gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities around the world
celebrate LGBT culture and history. We invite you to participate in a
series of edit-a-thons and photography campaigns to help improve
Wikipedia's coverage of LGBT-related content.

Themes for this event include art related to HIV/AIDS activism and on LGBTQ
artists of the African Diaspora as part of the Black Lunch Table project.

All are invited, with no specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia
editing experience required. A brief overview of the basics of Wikipedia
editing will be given at the start of the edit-a-thon. Please bring your
laptop and power cord; we will have library resources, WiFi, and a list of
suggested topics on hand.
