I've been asked a statement about this text, which has spread over the "Atlantic": http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2012/10/surmounting-the-insurmountable-wikipedia-is-nearing-completion-in-a-sense/264111/. I also mentioned a few activities of WMF and WMCH. The planned WiR has been picked to illustrate in some sense the relation of Wikipedia with academic and professional standards. Furthermore, as you can see in the side-notice, there's an info regarding the fundraising, citing the PR. I think the timing was really good in this case. Patrick
