Firstly in the five language communities that we are focusing on, such an introspection exercise was not done systematically before and secondly a mandatory imposition may not be productive either for the Community or for CIS-A2K. We do not want it to end-up becoming a task to be ticked against. Our effort is to train the community to systematically introspect, which will go a long way in strengthening the Indian language Wikipedias and the associated communities. Dear Ansuman, Thanks for flagging your concerns pertaining to the Access to Knowledge (A2K) program at the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS). Most of these are in the pipe-line (or works in progress) and we will share updates on each one of the queries you have posted, on the mailing lists and/or on-wiki in the next 15-20 days. We will also update on our failures in meeting some of the plans. There are some delays with the taking off of some of our current year plans [0]. However, I fail to understand where we have lied? All the A2K work is periodically i.e. monthly, (except for once where we clubbed two months newsletters as we were redesigning the newsletter based on feedback received from some Indian Wikimedia community members0 published through A2K Newsletter. The Newsletters were widely circulated on all Indian Wikimedia mailing lists.
