Our reasoning to bid is based on the fact that its been two years since we
hosted WCI, a much bigger conference in size as compared to this. There is

With less than 3 days to go for the last date of nominations, there were
just 2 nominations for the 3 vacant posts.
This is very disappointing and concerning for
Gautam and the organizing committee for the election, it might make sense in
extending the last date for nomination.
The window for nomination hasn't been open for long, it might make sense in
extending it for a while so more Wikimedians can hear about it.
