Re: [Wikimediaindia-l] New Indian partner now available through The Wikipedia Library
Hi, Just to add to Krishna's statement. Economic & Political Weekly is indexed on Scopus and it is ranked highest among social science journals in India and second highest in Asia. It features scholarly non-open source content (which can now be attained via The Wikipedia Library) from Nobel Laureates like Dr. Amartya Sen to Dr. Manmohan Singh (in his capacity as an economist). Also, Sunil Abraham, Executive Director, Centre For Internet and Society has written for the journal. Re: [Wikimediaindia-l] New Indian partner now available through The Wikipedia Library
As Indian language Wikipedias are focusing on quality content, this is a good opportunity for the editors to use reliable and high quality sources while contributing. I encourage all of us to make the best use of this opportunity and also share the news with editors who might be interested in these areas (and also, use the other databases that TWL has to offer). Since the occasion has come, being a regular user and volunteer for The Wikipedia Library, I must admit that despite we being such a large and diverse community, very few editors from India or working on content-related to India are using the vast resources offered by TWL (not sure about anonymous editors - who are just known by usernames). TWL has partnerships with more than 50 publishers/databases in a wide variety of subjects such as social sciences, law, medical, science etc. The list of all the partners can be seen at: https://wikipedialibrary. wmflabs.org/partners/, and quick view is available at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:TWLJ. Please make the best use of these resources. For this EPW partnership, many thanks to Abhinav Srivastava, who patiently worked for almost one year to lock this partnership, and also Tanveer Hasan.
