Re: [Wikimedia Kenya] Cool Projects

2012-06-16 Thread Stephen Wanjau
Hey Folks!

Since the deadline to submit cool projects is imminent. Are we still
expecting the various versions of cool projects from the list members or we
can just go ahead and post the ones openly mentioned in this thread?

Any/all updates of current projects have been posted on this list and/or
mentioned during our meetups as well as on the board mailing list so in
case I missed any updates of projects or left something hanging, let me
know and I'll clarify it. Plus you can check out this category:

  Hello!

Dead drops were discussed during our last community meetup on 26th May

The same applies to GLAM plus other projects on the etherpad here

The minutes are yet to be posted on our website by Anne but every

I thought the essence of using the etherpad was for members to follow

 - The Photo walk that culminated on the current discussions with

 - And of course the current efforts to have a localized Offline

Speaking of best practices ,i think its good practice for Steve to
have shared with the group before submitting the list as the official
WMKE List of projectsjust to ensure inclusion and
 transparency.

I think Steve already filled this up, perhaps he could share with us the
details he sent.

 Subject: [Wikimedia Kenya] Cool Projects

 Hi all,

Like last year, I will be presenting, together with Deror Lin, the coolest
projects of the Wikimedia chapters. I hope you could (together) try to
determine your coolest three projects of the past year (between Wikimania
2011 and Wikimania 2012), and have someone enter that in this form
 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dENaVEUybm1OaEJZYkYtSzhkbFBabkE6MQ#gid=1
  .

Please use a very broad definition of 'coolness' because experience learns
that chapters vastly underestimate that. Wikimeets can be counted as cool!
I hope you can fill it out in the next three days.

 Looking forward to your submission,

 Lodewijk
