I thought it would be a useful idea to highlight exactly what happened in WMUK board and exec meetings regarding the issues around MonmouthpediA, GiibraltarpediA and QR codes so had this analysis made. If anyone spots ommisions please let Richard Symonds know. (I am on hols from Friday lunchtime) All this is of course available on the minutes on the wiki but it may be helpful. Jon P.S. Re: [Wikimediauk-l] Digest of board decisions regarding Monmouth, Gibraltar and QR codes
Sorry Deryck . My mistake in sharing a document that was simply a list of where QR codes, MonmouthpediA and GibraltarpediA were mentioned in board minutes. One person has a very strong objection and since it is all public anyway and accessible through the board minutes I responded to that person's honest objections by withdrawing what is an incomplete document. Hope I haven't spoiled your evening. Well done on the Cambridge event. Jon Back to wikihell. Sorry, Jon, but if you'd put it on the wiki, it wouldn't have been (as much of) an issue, because people can and will edit it. It's also more public and doesn't require digging a URL out of an archive if somebody wanted to read it in the future (I'm assuming transparency was the aim of creating the document). Re: [Wikimediauk-l] Gazette of board decisions on Monmouth, Gibraltar at QR.
Could you fill in the gaps and republish? It would be good to get the bits of the story that aren't in the public minutes included too. All this information is going to need to be collated for the independant reviewer anyway, so it might as well be published. It has been brought to my attention that there are significant gaps e.g. Mention of the evolution of Qr codes in the Derby project which could make this digest misleading. However all the information is up there on the wiki. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused. It was done with good intentions in order to assist an understanding of what happened. Re: [Wikimediauk-l] Gazette of board decisions on Monmouth, Gibraltar at QR.
I am afraid we don't have anyone with the time to redo that at the moment. If anyone wants to volunteer go ahead and put it in a wiki!!! The main criticisms of the googledoc version was that it did not go back far enough to include the Derby Museum work and that there may be reports to the board, mentioned in the minutes that were not included. I had to make a judgement on whether to leave up a document that I could not hand on heart say was completely accurate and might mislead people or remove it and let people revert to directly accessing the minutes. Not an easy decision but I erred on the side of caution. The independent review have had access to it as a starting point but I have explained to them its deficiencies. They will in any case being going back to zero and creating their own chronology. Jon. On 25 October 2012 18:13, Thomas Dalton thomas.dal...@gmail.com wrote: Could you fill in the gaps and republish?
