You might want to have a look at this discussion on English Wikisource:

Re: [Wikisource-l] upload from InternetArchive tool

2014-01-27 Thread Dmytro Dziuma
I would say that another step should be also simplified - I mean uploading
raw page scans to IA in order to get DjVu/PDF with an OCR layer. Right now
it is required to upload an archive file with special naming which is not
very straightforward from help pages.

Dmytro

Hi Andrea,

Don't we have Wikilivres for that? Ideally it would be great if it was
operated by WMF though.

Re: [Wikisource-l] Export books which use Proofread extension

2013-10-22 Thread Dmytro Dziuma
I guess if Tpt or somebody else could rework that tool as a MediaWiki
extension, we could have it installed on the Wikimedia projects replacing
the Pediapress thing.

Now the question is who might be able to commit his/her time and use
his/her skills in order to create such extension.

Clarifying my previous message.

By the "export function" I meant the Special:Book page provided by
Pediapress.com and accessible via the "Create a book"item in the side menu.

[Wikisource-l] Export books which use Proofread extension

2013-10-22 Thread Dmytro Dziuma
Hi,

Export function doesn't work for quite long time now for pages that were
proofread with the Proofread Page extension. Is there any chance that it
will be fixed soon? I think it is a quite major problem for potential
Wikisource users.

Re: [Wikisource-l] Blogpost on Wikisource

2013-10-17 Thread Dmytro Dziuma
I asked administrators of the English Wikisource a couple of days ago
https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource:Administrators%27_noticeboard#Wikisource_survey

But I was not lucky to get any attention. I would say, it is quite strange
for the biggest Wikisource domain, but anyway...

I can verify that the link is in the site notice of the Ukrainian
Wikisource (I've done it myself as I'm an administrator there). However I
don't see it on the Russian Wikisource .
