I'd like to discuss the proposed change to the authentication plugin system (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/ExternalAuth). As proposed, I don't see how I'll be able to keep most of the functionality in the LDAP extension. It isn't a change, it's an addition. AuthPlugin will be kept
