Hello James,
I'm using Ethereal 0.10.3 and WinPCap 3.0. WinXP-SP2
Filter was port 25.
And I've captured both incoming and outgoing packets.
So, the problem I think is in the Ethereal sources.
P.S. src port 25 || dst port 25 filter works fine too.

Unlikely, given that Ethereal doesn't do anything particularly unusual
with libpcap/WinPcap

Hi Animesh.
You are right. There is a bug in pcap_open_offline(), that has been already
fixed in the winpcap source tree.
It will be available in the next release of winpcap.
Thanks for the report
Have a nice day

You said in your previous mail that you were using WinPCap 3.0. Did you
try 3.1b4 too? Do you have the same results?

Hello,
We are using a silent installer for winpcap. On several computers we
found that during exploitation wpcap.dll disappeared. As far as I know
nobody removed this dll manually.
Is it possible that another application removed this dll?
Thank you
Alex

Have you checked for anti-virus programs removing it?
MS anti-spyware detects winpcap as a spyware threat (low threat) but doesn't
remove it I think, but there was a rumor that AVG and Symantec sometimes
remove it (or pieces of it) when they remove certain Trojans/viruses. You
