[Ninux-Wireless] R: Firmware per TL-WA7510N

Scusate,

avete notizie riguardo ad un firmware funzionante e stable per questa antenna.

Vorrei evitare di brickarle nuovamente e dover rifare la procedura con 
adattatore usb seriale.

Qualcuno che le ha già testate mi darebbe informazioni sicure?

attenzione alle tensione: le seriali RS232 dei PC hanno i segnali
tra -12V e +12V (in teoria, in pratica a volte +-6V o +-9V), le seriali
presenti sulle schede di solito sono o 0-5V o 0-3.3V.

[Ninux-Wireless] R: Firmware per TL-WA7510N

Avevo quest’antenna brickata nel vano tentativo di caricare un openwrt.

Mi sono procurato un convertitore USB-seriale, realizzato i collegamenti sul 
dispositivo e caricato il firmware originale della casa madre.

Purtroppo quest’antenna non mi è sembrata molto versatile.

ma sarà in CC.

Scusate se replico solo adesso. Giusto una considerazione va fatta in merito 
all’uso del firmware openwrt da utilizzare in campo aperto.

Sul sito è riportato quanto segue, cito testualmente:

“This is a 5 GHz only outdoor Accesspoint. There is no way to activate 2.4 GHz. 
You may only use the few first channels. Regulatory restrictions are saying 
that these channels are for indoor use only. To use the outdoor channels you 
need DFS, which is not supported by openwrt yet.”

Il DFS per chi non lo sapesse serve ad evitare eventuali interferenze con 
dispositivi che utilizzano lo stesso canale, quali radar ad esempio. Dunque ci 
andrei cauto nell’utilizzo. Il ddwrt invece usa questa funzione.
