Hi Zach,

Because of the type of business WISPs are in, we are potentially in inherent
disaster conditions, mostly because of maintaining tower structures.

And because we specialize in communications, as well as the fact, it is
WISPAs goal to offer WISP centric benefits to our membership, the idea of a
disaster team was born.

As Jack and Jay have explained, WISPA is already working on a Disaster
Response Team, but we are at that starting stages.

We have named our organization: WECAT - WISPA Emergency Communications
Action/Alert Team - WECAT.org

This will be a 501 (c) 3 company. We are almost ready for filing, with the
exception of the Mission Statement.

During my last term in office, we started the State Coordinators Committee,
this was a step towards this organization.

We finally have about 80% of the U.S. covered with coordinators, who will in
turn work with the WISPs within their state.

Our next meeting we have a representative from the American Red Cross and
the two-way satellite industry that are going to join us so that we can draw
from their pool of knowledge.

This will be great to help formulate our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

I would be very interested in talking to this company to see how we could
benefit each other.

And being a vet, I love veteran owed companies! =)

Also, the committee is open and you are welcome to join, just shoot me an
email.

This is a very important task, in the formation of this committee, and I
feel very strongly that the sooner we get organized, the better.

Our spring weather patterns have drastically changed and we need to prepare!

Respectfully,

Victoria Proffer

Correct. WISPA is already forming an organization to formalize and
coordinate WISPA's disaster response capabilities.

I think some kind of a tie-in between WISPA's disaster response activities
and Team Rubicon is certainly worthy of developing. I'd suggest contacting
Victoria Proffer (WISPA Board) to discuss this further.

That's a good point Josh. I will get in touch with the leadership at this
company.

Check them out if you'd like. Returning Veterans started it, great idea.
