Hello Lists,

I have a 900 Canopy APC that the RF seems to be damaged in. I can connect to
it if I get within 10 feet of it, LOL, with a RSSI of about 1200. And this
is with a 10 dB antenna on the AP and a 14dB antenna on the SM. I have
checked everything I can think of, i.e. changed pigtails, made sure power
level was at 26, reloaded firmware, default reset, different antennas.
Anyone have any ideas?

If it is dead, I know there are some repair places lurking on here...but do
any of you repair the RF side?

I also have a 900 SMC that has about the same symptoms. It will show an RSSI
of 0 and bounce up to 233. It will not connect to any AP that is even within
2 feet of it. I have tried all the above with it too.

Where is the best place to get Ethernet chips replaced in these modules? I
see that Electrocomm shows it for $75, I called and they said that FDDI did
it for them, to just call them direct. Is that about the going rate to
replace these Ethernet chips?

TIA for any suggestions

Sincerely,
Scottie Arnett
