It will go to Congressional committee members who are working on what to do with the digital television transition. This letter should be signed by every WISP in the country. HOUSE DTV BILL FACES LIKELY DELAY Action by the House Commerce Committee on terminating analog-TV service within a few years will likely be postponed by at least one week. The Senate Commerce Committee scheduled Oct. 19 to hold key votes on the same issue, but budget politics in the House are complicating the Commerce Committee's effort to complete work on digital-television issues at the same time. The House panel is unlikely to vote next week because House Budget Committee leaders are coming under pressure to cut spending or find new revenue to pay for Hurricane Katrina cleanup. The House Commerce Committee was expected to find about $15 billion in savings under the budget blueprint adopted before Katrina. The panel might be expected to come up with billions of dollars more. Just a little update. We thought we'd see what we could get through a couple of these 2 port WAR boards in ideal conditions (rssi -25) with turbo enabled. Testing was between 2 Mikrotik boxes with a StarVX link linking them. Test was using built-in Mikrotik bandwidth-test in both directions using random data and tcp. After running the test for 30 mins we have a tx average of 27Mbps and rx average of 30.1Mbps. CPU's on both Mikrotik boxes where running at 100% throughout the entire test so I really need to build some P4's to test with to truly see what these can do. Not sure how this compares with any testing others have done on other systems but thought I should post the results. Thanks for providing the resources to find the numbers. But I still think if someone has time to create a complete list there will be more calls made. There are a lot of people out there who will do it tomorrow if they have to go look up the numbers. On the other hand if the numbers are included in this post they will pick up the phone and call after all, you just got them all fired up about a great opportunity. Oh, come on now, the work has already been done. It takes all of maybe two minutes to use the information already in place and certainly [no] excuse to not make a call and send an email. If you don't know your zip code or the state you live in, you certainly need more help. ;-) I would highly suggest making an appointment at the local field office the next time your representative is in town.
