Does anyone have a easy, inexpensive way to test a link before a tower
is built? RadioMobile link analysis says I can get backhaul to the
potential location, but in my area trees are always a challenge. I
would like to test it now, while the trees are full, before I commit the
money to build
That is an awesome find...

Rent a crane with a man basket. Grab a pair of binoculars and go for the ride.
Should be able to do this in under 2 hours for about $500

Great find one the Inscapedata product!! That's exactly what I'm looking
for!!!
A POE switch and converter modules are definitely an option, but it kinda
defeats my purpose (getting rid of all my POE adapters running up a tower).

On the Shireen unit, why are there 3 data jacks and a coax power jack?

From reading the specs, it appears that it can provide 1 DC power plus 2 POE
power outputs. I may be wrong though.

If you can find a way to get over the trees at one end, let up a large
balloon on the other.
Make sure you pick a nice calm time to do this :-).
Good luck!

I am now licensed for 3.65, but I have to get permission from an earth
station (Andover ME), as I'm just inside it's 150km radius.
The PDF showing the list of earth stations and exclusion zones looks useful,
but is really just the start of a goose chase.
The other ISPs in the states
www.spectrumgenie.com may be useful for finding who the earth station owner is.
As for how to address the official permission I would think a letter of
approval from them would suffice but someone else may have better feedback.
