One would be my wife, Carol, who works much harder at this business
than I ever will.
Happy Moms Day Victoria and all the other WISP moms out there!

How many WISP moms do we have?
I know I am one :-)
Thanks Rick and Kudos to your wife!
I know that this is a tough business, especially for women.
My daughter just stopped by to wish me a happy M-Day. I was happy to see
her. She is 18 and has a busy social life :-(
She reminded me that she believes my 'real' child is my WISP.
Remember that
I have an area that's developed some noise and after watching the spectrum
analyzer all week I'm thinking of going to 5MHz channels there. I'm using 5GHz
UBNT APs with all MIMO CPEs. I did a test with 5MHz width and was hitting
32.5mbps TX, 13mbps RX throughput so that part is cool but are
Interference. It's easier to get away and more power is focused on
the smaller channel, but if anything does interfere it does way more
damage.
Compatibility. If you want to do another CPE or AP it may not work.

Check out the Ubiquity list here on wispa for the last week or so...

Yep, thats why I was asking about licensed PTMP gear
Does anyone know if I can get a license for 3.something and use a Ubiquiti XR3 and MT? That would actually be exactly what I am looking for
It's all about signal to noise. You get a dramatic increase in signal to
noise with 5 MHz channels. I have a couple sectors running 1/4 channels. I
call them my trouble sectors. Horizontally polarized, I put distant
customers on them who had trouble making the distance at full channel. I've

If anyone is going to the Dish Network Team Summit or is going to be in
San Antonio this coming week, let me know. I'll be there from Monday to
Friday.

I'm not sure about all U-NII bands in the US, but in some countries
one might exceed power spectral density limitations(dBm/MHz) using
narrow channels.

Yeah, I thought about that. I've been having interference issues at 20MHz
and switched to 10MHz but still having some issues off and on. I'm thinking
of pulling two of the sectors down to 5MHz and try it for a week or so. Not
many users on those 2 so we should be okay on the throughput.
Yeah, changed the AP to all 10MHz but still having fade outs. Spectrum
analyzer shows a few consistnt holes I could drop into that should work
perfectly with 5MHz. I'll try it on 2 sectors for a bit.
