[WISPA] 5.2Ghz
I have some short less then mile hops that I would like to use ~5.2Ghz to avoid interfering with existing 2.4Ghz and 5.7Ghz gear. What gear out there is affordable and FCC compliant to use in this band? Or is there some inexpensive 4.9Ghz gear since they can likely get a 4.9 license? Great throughput is not a requirement. 5.2 is indoor only 5.4 can be used by fcc certified equipment (ptp100?) 4.9 is emergency services only Josh Luthman Office: 937-552-2340 Direct: 937-552-2343 1100 Wayne St Suite 1337 Troy, OH 45373 On Tue, Feb 22, 2011 at 4:50 PM, Matt lm7...@gmail.com wrote: I have some short less then mile hops that I would like to use ~5.2Ghz to avoid interfering with existing 2.4Ghz and 5.7Ghz gear. Re: [WISPA] 5.2Ghz
I assume you're looking for PTP. It depends on how much bandwidth you want pushed across that link. Re: [WISPA] 5.2Ghz
If it's gov't public safety I would not even think twice about 4.9. I'm putting on my flameproof suit. Ok, safe. You can run MT with 4.9 cards If you dont want to go that route DFS2 should be showing up soon with UBNT opening up that spectrum.
