Re: [WISPA] SBA tower / Avetta compliance

2018-06-13 Thread Josh Luthman
I spent a couple weeks with it. I just dropped the idea and hired a crew
out of Columbus.

The health & safety document I "borrowed" from a large company out there
and then started changing the words. Avetta still said it would be
30/60/90+ days before they'd review it.

Re: [WISPA] snowbird - seasonal packages & pricing

2017-09-26 Thread Josh Luthman
With Powercode we take off the "montly internet service" which enables them
to have Internet, speed rating, etc and then add a "monthly service" which
does all the normal billing stuff but doesn't add any Internet speed
plan/allow them to get online.

Re: [WISPA] [Wisp] Accounting Software to Replace PC Based Quickbooks

2017-09-26 Thread Josh Luthman
My accountant(s) practice on Quickbooks. Because of this, Quickbooks. The
only thing I do every month is download transactions from checking accounts
to Quickbooks and manual bill pay. The latter could easily be done via the
bank, but it's a legacy thing. I'll move some day.

What does your accountant want you to use?

[WISPA] Toughbox and epmp force 110/200

2017-06-08 Thread Josh Luthman
I've got a site where we force a Poe port on to port a 110. It works for
days or weeks and then the board thinks there's a short (auto power thinks
the same).

Is there a way to disable this safety function?

Has anyone else tried this? Thinking it may be time to replace it to a 200
and correct the power pinout, but I wasn't sure if that would actually fix
the underlying problem.

Re: [WISPA] Looking for a switch...

2017-04-17 Thread Josh Luthman
AFAIK your options on ports are 24 and 48. I don't think they do 36 copper
port switches. If you need 30 ports in one piece of hardware, it's simply
48 port only.

I think you'd be better off with an SFP port. SPF is typically a DNS thing.

I don't believe they do epmp2000 in 120*, so while your point is valid, I
don't think this mistake can be made =)

[WISPA] 750P and AF5x

2017-01-16 Thread Josh Luthman
Any long term issues to be aware of? I know 24v is on the lower end of
voltage range but it seems to work just fine with my long test cables in
the lab (100 meg is fine, don't need gig).

There's no way they'd discontinue the force 110 ptp. That's a badass back

Re: [WISPA] Cambium ePMP2000 config question

2016-12-12 Thread Josh Luthman
If you set it for say -80 it will lower the power if you're at -60 or -70
down to make it hit -80.

Now if you have a -130 noise floor then maybe that'll function, though
poorly, but you'll never ever hit the higher modulation rates that need -65
for example.

-60 is good, just leave it there...

Hey...

I purchased two tickets for the Jimmy Buffett concert in Vegas on October
15th (this Saturday night), and now my plans have changed and we can't make
it down.

I paid $600 for the two tickets (including all the fees, etc). I'm asking
$400 or best offer for both tickets. I can take Paypal or CC or even trust
someone on this list would mail me a check next week. I have the two
tickets in electronic format and can email them directly.

They are Section 2, Row X, Seats 13-14 at the MGM at 8:00PM. This is a
great show, I've seen it before about a year ago in this same venue.
