Hello All: I have renamed this post as 'Stupid Trango Question" rather than "Stupid Trango". I'm sure you can guess why. And, there are no stupid questions.
Victoria, if you are referring to the M5800S-SU-EXT or the M5830S-SU-EXT, neither can be used as a stand alone unit. There is not an internal antenna in either unit, so you must use some type of external antenna.
